Formed in Birmingham out of the group The Sundowners.
Pauline Shepherd was The Chad's lead vocalist for a short while in 1964.
Mick Adkins left in 1965 and was replaced by Jeff Lynne.
Jeff Lynne had previously been in The Andicaps.
Keith Warrender left in 1965.
Margaret Reiss joined in 1965.
