Formed in Crouch End, North London out of the skiffle group Green Light.
John Eddowes stepped down as tea-chest bass player when the group began to play rock 'n' roll and pop. Eddowes then became the manager.
Later managed by Harold Davison when they backed Paul and Barry Ryan for live dates and on some recordings.
Ken Street left to join Emile Ford and the Checkmates.
Guitarists Riff Marlowe and Norman Shapiro joined together with Raz Reagan on bass guitar.
Norman Shapiro left to form The Rokes and was replaced by Chuck Hardy on guitar.
Riff Marlowe left to join a band in Dublin.
Jim St. Pier joined in February 1962 on saxophone.
Robb Storme took part in 'A Song for Europe' in February 1962 in which there was a televised competition to decide which song would represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest later that year. The song Robb sang was 'Pretty Hair and Angel Eyes', which was also released as a single. He came 5th, losing out to Ronnie Carroll singing 'Ring-A-Ding Girl'.
On 14th November 1965, Jim St. Pier's wife, who was champion swimmer Patricia Baines (Commonwealth Games 1962), swam with some others from shore to the Radio Caroline ship as part of a publicity stunt. A Daily Mirror reporter was present, but unfortunately could not get the pictures back to the newspaper offices in time to go to press.
On Monday 22nd November 1965 the group recorded an 'EMI Friday Spectacular' for Radio Luxembourg in Manchester Square, London, which was broadcast on the following Friday.
Later known as The Robb Storme Group and then The Orange Bicycle.
Robb Storme also recorded as a solo artist with orchestral backing.
Jim St. Pier left in June 1967.
Wilson Malone, Robb Storme, Garry Hooper and Jim St. Pier were featured on an album called 'Funnysad Music' by The Wilson Malone Voiceband released in 1968, which was a recording project by Wilson Malone.

Thanks to Jim St. Pier for providing additional information and many gig dates.
