Ricky Brook (Richard Alan Brooks) - vocals (Born: 24 October 1940, Winchester, Hampshire)

 

The brothers began performing as a skiffle group in 1956.

After winning a talent contest they modelled their style to match that of the Everly Brothers.

On 11 February 1962 they entered 'A Song For Europe', a competition broadcast nationally by the BBC to decide who would represent Great Britain in the Eurovision Song Contest of that year. They sang the song 'Tell Her'. Ronnie Carroll won with the song 'Ring-A-Ding Girl'. The Brook Brothers finished 8th in the competition out of 12. 

Later shortened their name to The Brooks.
