Formed in 1957 as The Tremeloes in Barking, London.
Auditioned for Decca on 1 January 1962, the same day as the Beatles. The Beatles were rejected.
Changed their name to Brian Poole and The Tremeloes in 1962 when they signed to Decca Records.
Disbanded in 1966.
Brian Poole went solo and The Tremeloes continued as a hit group reaching the charts on several occasions on the CBS label.
