Bern Elliott and the Fenmen

Formed in Erith (or Eltham), Kent in early 1961.
Ronnie Vaughan, a former singer, was their manager.
Played at the Star Club, Germany and other German clubs for a few months in 1961 and 1962. Signed to Decca in 1963.
The Fenmen split from Bern Elliott in May 1964. Elliott continued to record with a new group he formed called the Klan.
Wally Allen and Jon Povey joined the Pretty Things in 1968.

15 May 1964 Bradford, Gaumont. Supporting Chuck Berry and Carl Perkins. With The Animals, Kingsize Taylor and the Dominoes, The Other Two and Larry Burns (compere). This was Bern Elliott and the Fenmen's only appearance on this package tour, replacing The Swinging Blue Jeans.
