Amber
Members
Alan Smith - guitar, vocals
Mic Read - guitar, vocals
Martin Bury - bass guitar
David Gibb - drums
Formed in Walton-on-Thames, West Sussex in 1966.
Recorded three tracks in late 1967 at R. G. Jones Studios in Morden, Surrey.
All three songs were written by Alan Smith and Mic Read.
Although the band tirelessly touted their demos both here and abroad, especially in Italy and Holland, Amber failed to get any kind of record deal and ultimately split up.
Alan Smith and Martin Bury formed a group in Bognor Regis with drummer Terry Slade to back English singer Mike Liddell abroad.
Mic Read joined The Lost and then Just Plain Smith.
