Arrow and the Archers were a group of 13-year old boys from Liverpool who managed to persuade Bob Wooler, the resident DJ at The Cavern, to let them go on stage and mime to a Rolling Stones or Beatles song. At the time they had a chance meeting with Astrid Kirchherr, who was a photographer involved with The Beatles since meeting them in Germany and dating Stuart Sutcliffe. Arrow and the Archers managed to appear at The Cavern at least twice according to records. They were also at the front of the famous photographs taken by Astrid of Liverpool groups on the steps of St. George's Hall in Liverpool.
None of Arrow and the Archers ever went into the music business, but they now have their name etched into a wall in Mathew Street and into the history of Merseybeat and the Cavern.
