Formed in London.
The Beachcombers were a semi-professional outfit who played all over North London. They only played covers of the hits of the day. 
Ricky Winters had previously been with Cliff Bennett and the Rebel Rousers.
Keith Moon joined in December 1962.
Keith Moon had previously been in Lee Stuart and the Escorts.
Keith Moon left The Beachcombers in April 1964 to join The Who.
