All but one of the group were former members of Ivy Benson's All-Girl Band.
Christine Lee, from Colchester, was voted as one of the top seven drummers in the country.
Anne Bridgeman is from Birmingham.
Mary Cullen is from Limerick.
Lesley Arden is from Glasgow.
Moy Page is from Dublin.
Una Mellor left the group in 1964 and Lesley Arden switched to bass guitar.
Played at The Star Club chain of night spots in Hamburg, Kiel and Cologne, but they broke their contract after suffering poor living conditions and being overworked.
The Beat Chics toured Spain and France
Christine Lee was later in Poverty Street, Firefly, Beauty and the Beat, The Mike Holly Band, and The Crissy Lee Band.
