Formed in 1961.
They were originally called The Consuls.
The Kansas City Five were originally a 6-piece rock 'n' roll outfit from Liverpool.
Bruce McCaskill formed the Bluegenes Skiffle Group who later evolved into The Swinging Blue Jeans.
Tommy Hughes was the original banjo player in the Bluegenes Skiffle Group.
Alan Stratton had previously been in Benny and the Black Cats.
Peter Cook was later a member of Earl Royce and the Olympics, and Faron's Flamingos.
Lewis Collins joined around February 1963.
Lewis Collins left in autumn 1963.
Lewis Collins was later in The Eyes, The Georgians, The Mojos, Stu James and the Mojos, The Robb Storme Group, The Mojos again, and Skool.
