Formed in 1960 in Bathgate, West Lothian, Scotland as The Blackjacks.
Later renamed as The Crusaders, but added 'Golden' to avoid confusion with The Crusaders from Prestonpans (near Edinburgh).
Signed a recording contract with Norrie Paramor and released singles on Columbia records.
Bertie McRoberts had previously been in The Midlanders Combo as a drummer, and played bass guitar for Sol Byron and the Impacts.
Frank Connor had previously been in The Falcons.
Disbanded in 1966.
Brian Sheridan was later in The Red Hawks, and The Marshmallow 400.
Bert McRoberts was later in The Tom Hawkins Band, and also played for the Harry Bence Orchestra.
