Left for their first visit to the US on 28th September 1964. Spent two weeks there playing concerts and doing promotional television and radio appearances including the Ed Sullivan Show. During this visit they played Carnegie Hall.
Made another visit to the US in November 1964 for three weeks to tie in with the release of the MGM film musical in which they are starring. Also played Cow Palace in San Francisco while they were there.
