Formed in Eckington, Worcestershire in 1958.
Allen Willcocks, Geoff Willcocks brother, was the first drummer when the Cherokees formed.
Managed by Ray Styles.
In 1963 they came 2nd in the Malvern Rock Group contest. They were beaten by The Playboys from Bromsgrove.
On 1 March 1964 they went to ATV studios in Birmingham to record a television episode of 'For Teenagers Only'. They played two songs on their own and one with singer Jackie Pantin.
