The group conned their way to a gig at The Cavern in 1960. By this time they had only played a handful of gigs. The gig went badly and the crowd at The Cavern left, so legend has it.
Disbanded in 1961.
Rod Punt changed his stage name to Steve Day and fronted Steve Day and the Drifters in 1961. When the Drifters disbanded, Steve Day had a break from the music scene. Then in 1965 he formed Steve Day and the Kinsmen. In the 1970s he became a comedian under the name Rod McKenzie and won 'Opportunity Knocks' on television in 1978.
John Cochrane was later in Freddie Starr and the Midnighters and then The Chuckles.
Dave Georgeson was later in The Chuckles.
