Rupert's People
Members
The first recording by this group was actually the group 'The Fleur de Lys', who were recruited by Howard Conder to record the song 'Reflections of Charles Brown' and the b-side 'Hold On'.
The song reached No. 13 in the Australian charts in August 1967.
The band that promoted the song upon its release included Paul Gurvitz and Adrian Gurvitz who were still in The Knack at the time, and later formed Gun. This line-up did not record any material under the name 'Rupert's People' and another group 'Sweet Feeling' were recruited and recorded two more singles under this name.
Managed by Howard Conder.
