Formed in Send, Surrey in 1963 as The Senders.
They went through several changes of group names including The Pink Bears and The Late Edition.
In 1967 they were The Late and they had turned professional.
By the late 1960s The Late were the backing band for Billy J. Kramer.
They eventually evolved into Unicorn, recording an album for Transatlantic Records.
Pat Martin was later in The Tamla Tigers and in the backing band for Kate Bush.
