Norman Beharrel replaced Pete Morris on vocals and then by early 1964 Norman, who was much older than the rest of the group, was replaced by Johnny Hawk, formerly of The Aces.
Henry Temple, formerly of Hull group The Aces, replaced Mike Harris on rhythm guitar by early 1964.
After a band shake-up, which included wanting to play further afield, the line-up changed. Bill Dally left and was replaced by Mick Ronson and Eric Lee, another ex-Aces member, joined as a second vocalist. The group were now a six-piece with the line-up as follows:
Johnny Hawk - vocals
Eric Lee - vocals
Mick Ronson - lead guitar
Tim Myers - bass guitar
Henry Temple - rhythm guitar
Mike Kitching - drums
Johnny Hawk left the Crestas and the music business in July 1965. Henry Temple left around the same time.
Mike Kitching would leave a few weeks later and was replaced on drums by Dave Bradfield, formerly of Hull bands the Mariners and the Statesmen. Eric Lee, the vocalist left soon after and was replaced by Malcolm 'Mally' Hunt. With all the changes the band came to an end within weeks.
This is a picture of The Crestas in a later line-up. Mick Ronson is at the front.
