Also known as Carl and the Cheetahs.
Carl Baron's real name was Colin Smith. He left the Cheetahs in 1964 and was replaced by Ray Bridger and the band shortened their name to The Cheetahs. Ray Bridger had formerly been in a group called The Firebirds.
