The Detours were formed in Liverpool in the early 1960s.
Backed Lee Curtis in 1962 under the name Lee Curtis and the Detours.
Played a gig inside Walton Gaol, Liverpool in June 1964.
Backed vocalist Barbara Dee and were sometimes billed as Barbara Dee and the Detours.
In the late 1960s they backed Gene Latter under the name Gene Latter and the Detours.
