Mike Berry had previously been backed by The Outlaws.
The Innocents were previously known as Bobby Angelo and the Tuxedos who had had a hit with 'Baby Sittin' in 1961. They had been backing Mike Berry for a while doing live gigs before changing their name.
Don Groom had also played with The Outlaws, backing Mike Berry.
The Innocents also backed other artists like Mike Sarne on record and for some live gigs.
The Innocents also recorded without Mike Berry for HMV.
Disbanded in 1966.
Mike Berry had a long solo career and was also an actor on stage and television.
