Formed in the Isle of Wight in 1957.
Members came and went before a classic line-up of Betchley, Sharpe, Davies and Young brought them a decent following on the island.
Released a 4-track EP in 1966 which was sold locally. The tracks were recorded at Olympic Sound Studios in London on 17th April 1966. The EP sold out.
Released a single with a 30-piece orchestra in 1970 under the name Wilfred so as not to be confused with the more successful Cherokees on the mainland. The songs were recorded in London.
Disbanded in 1972. 
Brian Sharpe was later in Hoggie and the Sharpetones.

22 Mar 1964 Ryde, Esplanade Pavilion, Isle of Wight. Supporting The Rolling Stones. With The Shamrocks. Two shows - 4pm and 7pm.
