Formed in Bebington, Wirral, Cheshire in 1961 as The Tenabeats.
Sometimes billed as The Road Runners.
Played a season in Hamburg December/January 1963/64.
Made an album of live music called 'Twist-Time im Star-Club 4' during their first season in Hamburg.
Dave Percy left in 1964.
Nick La Grec and Johnny Phillips joined on saxophone.
Bob Harrison joined on trumpet.
Played in Hamburg again in the summer of 1964 with the two added saxophone players.
Featured on one side of an album recorded live in Hamburg called 'Tanz-Show im Star-Club 2'. The other side of the album featured Shorty and Them.
Recorded three tracks for an EP called 'Pantomania', made to raise money for 'Rag Week' in Liverpool. The tracks included 'Cry, Cry, Cry' and 'The Leaving of Liverpool'.

3 Mar 1964 Liverpool, The Cavern, Mathew Street. With The Dions, Bobby Sansom and the Giants, and The Rockin' Rivals.
