Formed in Birmingham.
Formerly known as The Eko's.
Also known as Carl and the Cheetahs.
Carl Baron's real name was Colin Smith. He left the Cheetahs in 1964 and was replaced by Ray Bridger and the band shortened their name to The Cheetahs. Ray Bridger had formerly been in a group called The Firebirds.

Appeared in the film 'Just For You' in 1964.
Al Jackson left in 1966 and was replaced by John Washington.
John Washington had previously been in The Fortunes.
Don Gould left in 1967.
Gerry Freeman left in 1967 and was replaced by Paul Willetts.
Megan Davies later played with Mongrel and Ivy Benson.

Phil Overfield left in 1967 and joined Finders Keepers.
In 1969 they appeared in front of a celebrity audience at the home of Robert Stigwood

The Staffords recorded on the Penny Farthing label in the UK in 1970 as Lincoln Black.
Soon after, the group disbanded.

Formed in Erith (or Eltham), Kent in early 1961.
Ronnie Vaughan, a former singer, was their manager.
Played at the Star Club, Germany and other German clubs for a few months in 1961 and 1962. Signed to Decca in 1963.
The Fenmen split from Bern Elliott in May 1964. Elliott continued to record with a new group he formed called the Klan.
Wally Allen and Jon Povey joined the Pretty Things in 1968.

Anthony Coghlan and Alan Smith were later in The Motives.




















The Electrons were a Stafford band formed out of the Rowley Street Methodist Youth Club in 1960. They became a semi-pro unit in 1961. Managed by Tony Moss, the band changed their line up early in 1963 when the drummer and rhythm guitarist got married.
